LJ says I haven't posted in 15 weeks. Here's an update, just to show I'm still around. It's my obligatory New Year update :)

So, what's life been like over the last 3-4 months?

I've been on several trips. I've been sick on several trips. There was my Cameron's trip which gave me the flu for about a week. And then the company trip that made me sea sick (found out I'm so not suited for cruises). And then the Penang trip that got me down with food poisoning for also approx 1 week.

I've got pictures in my camera, which I've obviously been to lazy to upload (looks like I broke my resolution to not procrastinate).

I've started Yoga to try and be more healthy. It's once a week and bloody difficult. I don't know how people in the videos can smile and make it look so easy.

I've also attended a couple of weddings and have a couple more to attend in the coming months. Must be good Feng Shui time to get married.

Apart from that, I've gotten a Nintendo DS Lite, which is awesome. Phoenix Wright is awesome. I've also started playing WoW on a different server. Most of my time is spent either playing Phoenix Wright, WoW or napping. How grown-up of me, rite? XD

I've grown tired of shopping. Maybe it's because I'm not in the best of health (get tired very easily) and the new malls don't make it easier for me to shop. They are INSANELY huge. Maybe I don't enjoy shopping because I do like buying expensive things and I just don't have enough $$$ to pamper myself. Window shopping feels more painful than enjoyable.

New Year Resolutions... I don't have any. Really. I forgot to make them before the new year, and since that's passed, oh well... I have an inkling of what I would like to achieve. Perhaps one of these days I'll get around to thinking more/ writing about it :)

Got my copy of The Burning Crusade expansion last night. Wahahahahahahaha! At last!

I may have aggravated my old swimming injuries with all the shifting of stuff during the room moving. It's been a long time since my left shoulder acted up on me so I thought it'd healed. It should have after all the physio-theraphy and massages that I'd gone for (all sponsored of course).

But I suppose I was wrong, because it's been acting all strange the past few days, esp with the bad weather in the evenings. And last night, even my right knee was acting up a little.

It feels like I'm this old person with rheumatism and all >.<

Its a good excuse to not carry heavy stuff, unfortunately, the heaviest stuff from my old room has not been moved. Gah. I thought I was a little tougher than this.

I don't regret those swimming days though. Gosh they were fun. Still think about going for a swim although I don't know when I can slot that in. Heh.

If I were to roll/ fall off the bed, I would land on my CPU, thus making it a very painful mistake, both physically AND financially.

I love shopping for new phones. You get to play with all these wonderful, pretty gadgets ^__^ It's even better when you intend to buy them at that particular time -saves you some guilt from just testing and not buying. Of course, research is VERY important. Don't want to be wasting several hundred bucks on something that just looks nice conceptually, but doesn't function very well, right?

It's high time for me to change my trusty old Nokia 3330 for several reasons. Anyway in Dec 2004, I'd purchased a nice Motorola E680, so I'm not in dire need of a 'cool' phone. It already came with a (not all that great) VGA camera and MP3 player.

Therefore, I wanted a simple phone to replace the 3330. For that, I chose the Sony Ericsson J300i. Why THIS particular phone:
a) It's pretty! (I got the white version of it :D )
b) It fits my budget (was RM380)

It really really is sooo pretty. The menu is just... love. Pretty pretty pretty.

I have a weakness for the pretty.

Nokia isn't very pretty. The Nokia 1600 (which I consider to be the rival to the Sony E J300i), has bleh menu and smaller memory. It's also bigger, bulkier and the finishing of the casing is less pretty.

I got a good deal on the phone, so it came with the phone-USB cable and a handsfree for an additional RM50. Go me! Now I can customise my phone during the CNY hols, or earlier!

My only dilemma now is... which fandom should I pick for the theme?

I planned to exercise today.

Believe me I did.

BUT.

My (newly pierced left) ear got irritated by the car aircon which was blowing directly at it. It hurts muchly. A bit swollen even (but just a bit).

It's this small throbbing at the side of my head now. Also a little itchy, but I gather that's because my pain receptors are going cuckoo.

Oh, its just not my day to exercise. Hopefully, it'll be better soon. I really want to go for a swim.

All of a sudden, I crave the feeling of the pool. It's difficult to explain, especially if you're not a swimmer. There's just something about diving into the pool and being surrounded by the water. It drowns out everything. Suddenly, it's just you and the water (this being when the pool isn't overcrowded with idiots/ perverts). And as you glide with each stroke you take, there's a calmness you can't get anywhere else.

Ah, I miss it right now, I do.

My body is punishing me for not exercising for the last few years. That would be approximately 8 years worth of non-exercise.

Went for a jog around the park with milotin. Gosh, I'm completely out of shape. My stamina is a joke! I thought I could at least jog 2 rounds around the park, but by the end of 1 1/2 rounds, my legs had started a mutiny!

Legs: You hate us! How can you put us through such evil torture?! We ain't gonna do this no more!
Brain: OMG- they really ARE rebelling! They are refusing to move properly!
Legs: We told ya!
Brain: Ok, at least take us back to the start of the track. We'll have ice-cream in a bit.
Legs: Ooooh... ice-cream...

Yea, so after the all-draining jog, milotin and I had some ice-cream. Its the kind they sell from motorcycles. Gosh, I really miss that particular type of homemade type ice-cream. They used to sell this outside the swimming complex during major competitions. I loved getting a cone after a long tiring day by the pool.

It looks like the exercise resolution for 2006 is starting off well. Will force self to continue jogging and swimming regularly throughout the year. In the meantime, I was wondering... seaweed is a type of veggie, isn't it? It's green and leafy. Kinda. That means I just need to get 1 other type of veggie to fulfill the variety criteria this year :D

Edit: Uwaaaaaa~ I want more Bleach fiction to put in my phone! I'm running out of fics to read in my phone!!! Why aren't there more good Shunsui/ Nanao fics out there? Must look for more! Argh!!!

Has anyone seen the latest Anne Rice book Christ the Lord : Out of Egypt?

If you haven't, you may consider yourself lucky. Somehow, the book is just way to weird for my tastes. Why does she insist on re-writing stuff from the Bible? I know it all started with 'Memnoch the Devil' but seriously... WHY?

And its not just ONE book, there's going to be a TRILOGY.

I believe myself to be very open about many many subjects, but writing something along the lines of a FANFIC based on a book (in this case, the Bible), is just wrong. And this is coming from Anne Rice, the woman who refused to let anyone write fanfics based on her books. Pah.

On another note of 'WHYYYY??!', don't you just hate it when you lack the sense and caffeine and act in a way that deserves a 'OMGWTF, what did you just do?!' ? I sure hope it doesn't come back to haunt me later. >.< DOH!

I left my computer on, as I usually do, and went out yesterday to meet up with syricaan, hiro_p_chan, leila_nile, dachinchilla, snx8 and obsidianrain for dinner at BK.

I guess it must have rained pretty hard some time while I was out, and my modem got zapped. Fried. Killed. Gone.

Sigh.

I suppose I will have to go out and buy a new one, cause I'm sure the warranty doesn't cover electrical surges. Dang!

Luckily, hiro_p_chan has kindly lent me the spare modem. Will be able to get my daily dose of Internet, yay!

I wonder how much a new ADSL modem costs nowadays...
